Pre Mando, previously known as Vrohssk, was a male Trandoshan Mandalorian Bounty Hunter during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. Vrohssk was raised in a Trandoshan tribe of hunters, and was considered a Herald of Scorekeeper—a respectable title held by the most victorious hunters—at a relatively young age. Though, after being captured by a Wookie during a hunt, Vrohssk had lost his credibility, and his jagganath points were zeroed, resulting in Vrohssk's exile from his tribe. A decade before the Invasion of Naboo, the Trandoshan found employment with the Bounty Hunters' Guild where he had teamed up with Kittani Ashen, a mercenary graduate of the Orsis Academy, Thea, a young smuggler, and Rage Ordo, a Mandalorian bounty hunter operating under the alias Jatne Kyramud on behalf of the Hutt Cartel. The four had worked alongside each other during certain assignments.
A decade before the Clone Wars, Vrohssk was tracking down a pirate group that had been performing regular raids on the Haor Chall Engineering factories at Charros IV. Aboard his starship, Vrohssk chased the pirates' freighter to the planet Onderon but was ambushed by the marauders' reinforcements. The Trandoshan abondoned his burning starship in an escape pod, heading for Onderon's unpopulated jungle moon, Dxun. With no active comlink or self-tracking device, Vrohssk wandered the thick jungles of Dxun in search for any adequate humanoid life form. In the jungles, the Trandoshan discovered the remnants of an ancient Mandalorian campsite. The Trandoshan had spent a terrifying week at the campsite on Dxun, constantly relying on his accurate reptile-sentient instincts while hunting jungle predators and consuming their flesh in order to survive hunger. Vrohssk was rescued by his partners, Rage Ordo and Kittani Ashen.
Influenced by the discovery of the Mandalorian outpost and its ancient ambience on the jungle moon of Dxun, Vrohssk found himself obsessed with the Mandalorian culture in a matter of months. Ordo encouraged the Trandoshan to abide by the resol'nare if he was to become a true Mandalorian. Years later, the two would gather a Mandalorian clan and organize a mercenary coalition, The Shadow Mandalorians, based on the concept of the legendary Dha Werda Verda and the Codex of the Supercommandos. With their united leadership, Rage Ordo and Pre Mando were able to lead their Mandalorian clan through the Clone Wars and the Imperial Period conflicts that included the occupation of the planet Mandalore by Grand Admiral Miltin Takel and The Suprema.
