Michael Koz, otherwise known as Caimic Koz, was a human Jedi (and later Sith) born on Mandalore in 32 BBY, around the time of the invasion of Naboo. He is related to the Emperor's Wrath that slayed Darth Baras in 3653 BBY, and Koz himself was present on the first Death Star before it was destroyed. He also served Dark Nebula during the Clone Wars and was in the special ops squad known as Rancor Squad, as their resident demolitions expert.

As a child, Michael lived on Mandalore for about 2 years, until somehow he moved to Ord Mantell and was brought into a rich family. Michael, at age six, was already learning to use a blaster. He was talented in making his shots precise, not knowing he was using the Force to do it.
REPUBLIC MILITARY CAREER
At age 16, Michael was already a hero in the Ord Mantell Military, and decided to enlist in the Republic Military. Michael was tested several times, and became the demolitions expert in a squad called Rancor Squad. Michael went to several places, doing missions on planets such as Kashyyyk, Onderon, Nar Shaddaa, and Ithor. The Republic military at this time was fairly small, as the era of relative peace called for little more than a few thousand troopers and the Republic's Jedi peacekeepers.
THE JEDI ORDER
Michael was recruited into the Jedi Order about a year before the Clone Wars, becoming Padawan to Jedi Master Rahm Kota. Michael hated his Master, and yet, he didn't know why. He chose the path of a Jedi Sentinel, and used a double-bladed lightsaber. Koz rapidly became one of the youngest Jedi Masters of his time period, bypassing most of the typical trials and procedures due to the urgency of the Clone Wars. He then became a Jedi historian. Like the Jedi Jerec, Michael was interested in power.
